Hi! I’m Siobhan, the woman behind Summit Else. I am a qualified Summer Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Development Instructor trained. I also have my FUNdamentals one and two in climbing movement.

Recently I received my APT level 2 in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and soon I’ll be studying MCBT (Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Meaning I’m able to use CBT based practices within my coaching. This is a very exciting development in my qualifications. I am really passionate in helping people achieve their goals using my knowledge as a instructor, coach and now with an understanding of CBT techniques. CBT based work means I have even more tools as a coach to help you with climbing head game blocks. And in general help anyone achieve their goals. Be it to summit a mountain or push their trad grade.

My background is in Countryside Management and Wildlife Conservation and I am a FAGASA (Field Guiding Association of South Africa) qualified Safari Guide. I worked within the conservation and safari industry in Kenya for five years before moving back to the UK.

I’m also a Mum to Findlay and fur babies Coire and Sula and love nothing more than spending time with them and my partner Robert. Usually, our down time is spent on the hills, water or crags!

When I'm not climbing, hiking or off on other adventures I'm being creative! I love art, with a background in fused glass, glass engraving, photography.
