Service Description

It's true - modern technology makes it so much easier to get out on the hills. And it is great that it has made our wonderful outdoors more accessible. However - relying on this technology alone can be dangerous. Basic map and compass skills could one day save your life - or at least prevent a phone call to the Mountain Rescue. On this introduction course, I will teach you the main skills needed to navigate on the hills. It is aimed at beginners and those who are perhaps lacking in confidence. There is no such thing as 'I can't map read'! Everyone can with good teaching and lots of practice you'll be a confident, safe navigator in no time!
